Lucille’s Bad to the Bone BBQ

9173 Atlantic Ave., Suite 120, Delray Beach, 561-810-4045, BadToTheBoneBbq.com

This down-home local chain, founded in Boca Raton in 1996, has introduced its third location on the southwest side of Delray Marketplace.

“It is such a rapidly growing area, and we have received countless requests to open a store out that way,” owner Craig Larson says. “We have made some significant changes to the décor reflective of classic Americana. A huge American flag mural by renowned artist Ruben Ubiera will occupy an entire wall, along with slate floors, Chicago brick walls and a vintage tin ceiling. Other distinctive features include custom-made light fixtures and chandeliers along with Lucille’s branded wood tables.”

Misting fans cool a large covered patio.

Signatures include rotisserie half chicken ($14.99), pulled pork platter ($14.99), baby back ribs or St. Louis ribs ($15.99, half rack; $22.99, full rack) and chopped beef brisket platter ($17.99). The newest selections are 12-ounce, bone-in smoked pork loin ($14.99) and creamed spinach ($2.50).

Build-your-own s’mores are presented on a mini grill with skewered marshmallows, chocolate bars and graham crackers ($7.99).

Lunch and dinner are served daily. The lunch menu features $7.99 sandwiches with a side and $8.99 salads, except on Sundays.
